通過紀(jì)錄五個(gè)特殊的日子，講述了一個(gè)平凡的家庭故事。
　　在剛剛結(jié)束的有著法國電影最高榮譽(yù)——“法國奧斯卡”之稱的法國電影愷撒獎(jiǎng)（César Awards），《余生的第一天》勇奪最佳剪輯、最佳男新人演員和最佳女新人演員三項(xiàng)大獎(jiǎng)。
　　影片是關(guān)于一家五口平凡的生活畫卷，在這部家庭畫卷中，每一個(gè)人都是生活的主角，如同紀(jì)念日餐桌上的鏡頭，在導(dǎo)軌上不斷的環(huán)繞著五個(gè)家庭成員，捕捉他們臉上的每一縷笑容。
　　羅貝爾是計(jì)程車司機(jī)，他和妻子瑪麗-讓娜是一對恩愛和睦的夫妻，一家五口住在郊區(qū)一座花園洋房里。他們家三個(gè)小孩的性格完全不同，老大阿爾貝有責(zé)任感、生命力很強(qiáng)、經(jīng)常挑戰(zhàn)父親的權(quán)威。
　　老二拉法埃爾總是把事情拖到第二天才做。至于女兒弗洛爾正若無其事地經(jīng)歷她的苦悶期，乖巧的小女兒已經(jīng)變成了一個(gè)叛逆少女。
