Ladyhawke 本名Pip Brown，11歲開始打鼓，14歲自學吉他,貝斯,鍵盤，并且開始跟隨姐姐和爸爸到處表演 8歲畢業(yè)之后搬到了Wellington,NZ，和朋友組了個叫Two Lane Blacktop(2001)的樂團，樂團當時在紐西蘭和澳洲算是相當成功，并且常在兩地飛往做巡回演出，Two Lane Blacktop甚至去了美國做了幾場巡回，在LadyHawkee官網(wǎng)自傳說他們甚至曾經(jīng)，去過紐約的CBGB表演過?！? 　　CBGB 是個美國早期地下樂搖滾龐克樂團，常常去表演的一個酒吧，過去像是70s,80s的Ramones，Misfits，the Patti Smith Group，Mink Deville,The Dead Boys，The Dictators，The Fleshtones,Richard Hell & The Voidoids，Blondie，都曾經(jīng)在那邊表演過，是一個很有歷史意義和地位的一個酒吧，可惜在2006因為地產(chǎn)問題倒閉，過去的CBGB所在地已看不到酒吧的存在，而老板之后也在2007年也因肺癌過世 ，LadyHawke說那時站在曾經(jīng)許多過去偉大樂團，同一個舞臺表演感受真的很棒?！? 　　2003,Two Lane Blacktop 準備飛去澳洲，跟美國Modey Lemon一起巡回的兩天前，樂團的主唱突然宣布退出樂團，而鼓手隨后也馬上宣布退出，之后不久樂團正式解散，覺得莫名其妙的他因為機票還在，帶著行李箱和吉他一個人飛到了莫爾本..... 　　來到澳洲不久后再度被雪梨來的Nick Littlemore找上，Nick Littlemore 當時，也是澳洲一個著名電音/舞曲音樂團體 PNAU 的一員，Pip Brown加入他的樂團 teenager，在樂團中擔任領(lǐng)銜吉他和和聲，Pip Brown說他喜歡他們的音樂 ?！? 　　Ladyhawke則是Pip Brown在2005自組的樂團，這樣她能夠完全自由的做自己想做的音樂，70,80年代的音樂對于Pip Brown的影響很大，Pip Brown她說她喜歡那個年代,所創(chuàng)造出一種喜哀合并，融合大量合成器還有即興重復(fù)拍的音樂，而流行文化包括音樂,電影,任何東西，對她也是重要靈感來源，她想要創(chuàng)造一種讓人就算第一次聽，也能夠臉上出現(xiàn)笑容想起自己過去一段記憶點的音樂 。 Soon after New Zealand band Two Lane Blacktop (named after the Monte Hellman movie) broke up in 2003, guitarist/vocalist Pip Brown moved to Australia. While living in Sydney she worked with several bands, including Teenager and Pnau. By 2006 she had begun creating songs on her own, playing all of the instruments, under the name Ladyhawke (named after the Richard Donner movie). She relocated once more at the end of 2007, this time to London, where she recorded her debut album for Modular, working with several different producers. The sound was strongly '80s-influenced, leaning heavily on the synth. The first single, "Back of the Van," was produced by Michael Di Francesco from Sydney band Van She, who also produced the "Van She Tech Turbo Fire Engine Mix" of the song. 更多>>
